Bill Goldberg was at the C4 Comic Con in Winnipeg a few weeks back and was asked about appearing at WWE’s WrestleMania XXX. He said Triple H has called him and they have talked but there’s no deal in place.
Goldberg said he is open to coming back and would like his son to see him wrestle once but he would only do it for the right price. He said he would never call WWE and ask to come back, and that the ball is in their court and they know what they have to do to get him to return. A WWE source says Goldberg’s financial demands were very significant.
Goldberg added that WWE did try to push him on the “think of the pop you’ll get” idea but he said from his point of view, they are barking up the wrong tree when it comes to negotiating tactics.

So it sounds like Triple H is trying to persue the nostalgia rute with Goldberg, when we all know that it is all about the money.. And by the sound of it, he is wanting The Rock and Lesner type of deal

Does anyone really want to see this? I think the only match people would want to see is Goldberg Vs Austin, but that match would have been terrible 10 years ago, so I dread to think what would happen now... HHH Vs Goldberg is pointless.

It wouldn't be for Triple H v Goldberg, it'd be for Ryback v Goldberg. And yeah, I'd love to see it. Can't think of anything better for Ryback.

I'd want to see it. Doesn't even have to be a match. Ryback could face anyone. Plan a whole match out but tell them 2 guys that the match could end at any time - just wait for the fans to start chanting for Goldberg. Then when the chants die down, hit Goldbergs music and have him walk down to the ring. The place would go absolutely ape shit. Then he can destroy Ryback and be done. He has nothing else going for him right now, and it gives you that great Wrestlemannia moment. The place really would go nuts just seeming him come out after they've been chanting his name.

Who cares? He's a lost cause since they killed him at Hell In A Cell last year and haven't rehabbed him since. At least this would be fun.

He'll probably be terrible in the ring and injure someone, I don't understand why people still care about Goldberg. He was huge in the 90s granted but he's no Austin or Rock for people to pop like mad over him.

Exactly as u said, but substitute goldsbergs enterance for the sound of breaking glass and austin coming out and a care a little more. Sub that for the sexy boy song and hbk and I might think about tuning in.

Sub ryback for dbry and I'll order it...

Mid Card

I'd love to see this.

His 170 match win streak is as much a part of wrestling history as any of Bruno's title reigns, Hulkamania, Austin era and so on. Anyone can have a long win streak but Goldberg made something special out of it. If he makes an appearance with John Cena to take out HHH and Randy Orton at WrestleMania, it'll be a great moment.

Even at his age and with the injuries he has had, Goldberg can add something to WrestleMania that maybe 4 more people can manage at this point for WWE. The current crop don't have a 1/10th of his star power.
