I could try and be more positive... How is this:
What an awesome Raw, I am such a huge fan of watching repeated ideas, because it means my brain doesn't have to work to hard to keep up with what is going on and I totally hate it when a match actually has a winner, So seeing the 3 main matches of the show all end without a decisive winner, was a BIG thumbs up from me... This Raw could not have been better and the only thing missing were more replays from last week and some more british stereotypes.. Wooo cant wait till next week
Well, here I go again with my Raw Thoughts, the usual disclaimer that this is not a review but simply my thoughts on Raw as I watch it.
HOUR 1
So the show begins with repeats of last weeks Big Show vs Trips ending... bored already... this just reminded me of last weeks show and the thought of just pressing stop and delete is crossing my mind 2 minutes into the show...
So this Raw is coming Live from England, and that means nothing of significance will happen tonight and it will be a throw away show, but a vocal crowd is something to look forward to... So they are calling the Trips and Steph regime as "The Authority" I guess this is the 2013 version of The Corporation... hmmm... and they are on a vacation.. hmmm..
Orton comes out and god forbid, he grabs a mic and begins the usual "Im going to win at Survivor Series... Im going to do this... Im going to do that... then says he is in charge of Raw and out comes Maddox to a cheer haha... Squeeky voice Maddox is interupted by Cororate Kane.. or is that Authoritarian Kane who is the "Director of Operations" for The Authority.. His hair is even beginning to grow back, not bad considering his face was soo dis-figured that he had to wear a mask 😕 and we find out that Kane is in charge of Raw haha. Maddox interrupts to another cheer announcing Orton vs Rhodes.. Kane changes it to Orton vs Goldust... Maddox and Kane doesn't have the comedic timing of Kane and D-Bry however...Vicki comes out and is at the verbal end of a vocal crowd.. gotta love the UK Crowds... so the match of Orton vs Rhodes and goldust in a 2 on 1 match is announced..
It was an OK match, but ends in a count out and then Big Shows music hits and Orton runs to avoid Big Show but nowhere for him to go and its Big Show beating on Orton... Even when Big Show puts Orton through the announce table.. the crowd erupts in YES chants... WWE screwed up by deciding to take D-Bry's main event status away, he is still the most over guy in WWE...
Come back from a break and Big Show is squeezing into a Black cab and wants a pint... stereotypical WWE segment in the UK... someone always goes to the pub and with no Sheamus i guess its Big Shows turn..
Stupid Los Matadors are next with the pre recorded crowd chants on the music... Boring.. 3MB getting the loud chant here... even though we get Los Matadors shoved down our throats with a forced and stupid gimmick.. Fast Forward, I refuse to watch Los Matadors
Randy backstage... blah blah blah cry cry cry i got hurt its everyones fault... Boring, Viper turned Cry Baby Mommas Boy...
Damien Sandow vs Kofi next and Sandow doesnt get an entrance as he already in the ring... Sandow wins an average match, I guess he hasnt fallen entirely from grace, and is stuck in that Upper Mid Card position like so many others..
HOUR 2
IC Title Match and Ziggler is out first followed by the Champ who is Heyman-Less ... Ziggler the obvious fan favourite in this match, as he usually will be with any vocal crowds, although that never seems to bother the higher ups in WWE... The former World Champion who has fallen from Heaven, keeps falling as he cant even win the IC Title match now... Such a shame...
Tamina vs one of Bellas next and it feels like we have this same match every week... AJ has fallen from grace as well and they try and push the Bellas, but its just boring as its the same 4 divas in action every week... we need Paige and some decent writing, neither of which we will get... If anyone cares, Tamina wins...
Here comes Summer Rae and her valet is unfortunately with her... and we get some highlights of Total Dias of some jelousy between Natty Neidhart and Tyson Kidd over who they are training with apparently... so scripted, soo crap.. Tyson Kidd vs Summer Rae's valet next... Summer Raes valet wins a very quick n boring match
Here comes John Cena and he will give the same old speach as always... highlight the people who dont like him blah blah blah... Well I guess WWE have learnt and not allowed Cena on the mic... Here comes The Real Americans, and I guess WWE thought they may get booed because Zeb comes out and tries to insult the UK crowd, saying that in the US it is Veterans Day.. I guess he doesnt know its Armistice Day in the UK... stupid idiot... He bad mouths UK and MR Bean trying to get the crowd on Cena's side... Well, If Cena wasnt allowed to say it on the mic, its Michael Cole who talks about the mixed reaction from the crowd for Cena... The crowd are chanting "We The People" haha, WWE should learn that no matter how much they have Zeb bad mouth the UK, noone will cheer for Cena...
Out comes ADR mid-match, and after a Cena looks like he is going to win the handicap match, ADR interupts and puts on the cross arm breaker with a chair until Big E comes out to save Cena... a very poor cheer for Big E though and a somber response from the crowd... more to do with him saving Cena i think lol.
HOUR 3
Boreback vs R-Truth next... another boring Boreback match where he will no doubt win and prove he can beat the Mid Carders but we all know he cant beat a main eventer... it kind of negates his "Bully" Gimmick... Well I was wrong.. Boreback cannot even beat R-Truth haha...
Big E vs ADR now after Big E made the save earlier, and ADR wins the match pretty easily, again negating Big E's rise in te rank instantly etc.. pointless match that did nothing but put Big E down.
Paul Heyman is in the ring with Axel... LEg in splinter, neck brace, in wheel chair.. belittling Boreback etc, the obvious split from Boreback... basically burying Boreback, telling everyone that he bit off more than he can chew with taking on CM Punk... he has made a vow that he will return to the WWE with a vengence... then out comes Punk to a huge ovation. He is coming down to the ring and Axel tries to cut him off to no avail as he puts Axel to sleep... Going straight for a Kendo stick as he slides in the ring and throws Heyman out of his chair and assaults him with a Kendo Stick.. I guess this feud isnt quite over yet.
Out comes D-Bry and I guess thats the Heyman beat down finished as another Handicap match is about to start with D-Bry and Punk vs the 3 members of The Shield...
3 Handicap matches in 1 show... I guess they thought, who needs numerous ideas, just repeat the same one each hour... Although Neither of the 3 previous Handicap matches has ended decisively, with Orton being counted out and then Cena being beat down by an observing ADR...
The match goes pretty much as expected to be honest... nothing exciting really happened... Punk puts Reigns to sleep and then just about to make Ambrose Tap and here comes The Wyatts as the lights go out and then they are in the ring... D-Bry and Punk leave the ring, leaving Shield in the ring with Rowan and Luke... as they argue between themselves... Then The Shield and Wyatts start fighting each other and it is the Wyatts who seem to get the upper hand as they go 3 on 3 until they stop and Bray Wyatt says they have a common enemy and all look at Punk and D-Bry.. Then they fight 6 on 2 until The Usos and Rhodes/Goldust run down and make the save... Raw ends with the faces celebrating in the ring and the crowd chanting YES YES
Throw away show as predicted, with a repeated idea throughout of Handicap matches and not 1 of the 3 matches ended with a decisive winner... Pointless show as predicted
